Summer camp students participating in the BI Parks & Recreation Climbing Camp at Insight Climbing & Movement Aug. 24 learned various rock climbing styles and concepts including bouldering and knot tying. Instructors guided climbers to improve their climbing and confidence through climbing games and activities with other peers.

A summer camp student scales a wall assisted with an auto belay device, which connects to the top of the wall and safely lowers the climber to the ground if they slip while climbing.

A camper grips a rock while bouldering close to the ground without the use of ropes and harnesses near the floor to practice climbing moves and problem-solving skills to move up the wall.
