Jennifer Lopez and her child Emme took over the Great White Way.
The pair hit the red carpet March 23 when they attended the premiere of the Broadway revival of “Othello,” starring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal.
Lopez shares Emme and twin brother Max, 17, with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
The “Hustlers” star wore a sparking two-piece outfit that included a full-length skirt and black coat. Emme sported a pinstriped suit with grey shirt, patterned tie and earrings.
In February, Lopez honored her kids on Instagram when they turned 17.
“Seventeen. I love you beyond forever 🥥🥥,” she captioned a montage of photos and videos of the pair over the years.
Lopez also paid tribute to her kids on Mother’s Day in 2024.
“Thank you for giving me the privilege and gift to be your mother,” she captioned a series of photos and videos on her Instagram page. “The most beautiful blessing of my life. Every day I wake up and think what I can do to be a better mother to you. I ask God to instinctually let me be able to feel what you need in every moment so I can guide you and love you in every way that I can, so I can show you by example what it is to be a loving, caring, conscious, good human to yourself and others.
“Lulu and Max, I am here FOREVER to support you, encourage you, to remind you of your greatness of your goodness and your limitless capability," she continued. "You. Can. Do. Anything. You are brilliant and beautiful and worthy of love and all the beautiful things in life. If you ever learn one thing from me, let it be that.”
Last July, Max and Emme also got a shoutout on their mother’s Instagram page.
“My whole heart 💚🤍” she wrote alongside a trio of photos of them, including one of them as little kids.
Lopez has previously spoken about the difficulties her kids have experienced growing up as the children of celebrities.
“I think being the child of famous parents is really not something many people can understand, and I feel for them for that because they didn’t choose that,” she told Audacy in 2023.
“They have just started letting me know how people treat them,” she continued. “So when they walk into the room, that’s what people are thinking about. They’re not seeing them for who they are. And I think that has to be a really hard thing for them. So I would love to have been able to protect them from that.”
Lopez has also shared her kids push boundaries with their mother in the same way a lot of children do.
“You probably remember when you were a teenager and you gave your mom a hard time,” she told Vogue Mexico and Latin America in 2023. “And I don’t think it’s because they’re not good kids. Rather, they just want to know, to learn, they want answers.”
